Spending Some Time in MA Center Chicago MAセンターシカゴにしばらく滞在しています

Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah

Like many people, I came to MA Center Chicago for the first time this summer. I was amazed at the scale of the facility, the vastness of the land, and the beauty of the area. Many of us talked about how much potential the Center has for future activities and projects.

However, to me Chicago has always been a place that I visit for 2 days a year during Amma’s Summer North American Tour. In fact, I think I have only been to Chicago once without Amma, perhaps 18 years ago, on the drive back from Boston to California.

So, it came as a surprise even to me when Amma instructed me to spend an extended period of time in the Chicago ashram. Immediately after the end of Devi Bhava in Chicago, Amma turned to me and said, “Son, you should stay here now. You can visit Japan sometimes, too, but stay here for some time.”

So, after the Summer Tour ended, I returned to Japan for 1 month to tie up loose ends there, squeezing as many programs as possible in the short time period. Then, I came here and this is what I found…

I’m not sure how long I will be here, or when I will be returning back to Japan. So, I’m just focusing on the task at hand here in Chicago, and will seek further guidance from Amma in November, when she comes to the USA again.

  1. The flora and fauna pictures are so beautiful, but this link didn’t work: “For photos of the buildings and grounds of MA Center Chicago, click here .”

I’m loving looking through your blog. I feel like I’m there with you and the other ashramites.

    • Thanks, Karuna. I fixed the link, but also noticed that many of the photos of the facilities are now dated. The water tower was painted long back, and some of the buildings picture don’t even exist any more! I will have to update that album soon…
